Caroline Staffell is the International Development Manager at Graduate Women International (GWI). This includes the management of membership, capacity building and projects. GWI’s mission is to empower girls and women through lifelong education.
Caroline joined GWI in 2013 following ten years of work in community development, education, capacity building and membership; at local, national, regional and international levels.
Caroline’s previous roles include Membership and Engagement Manager at the International Alliance of Patients’ Organizations, where she worked with patient groups worldwide to build their capacity to serve their communities and advocate for positive change. Caroline has worked in communities in the UK, Tanzania, and Uganda on community development projects and has a strong belief in collaboration and multi-stakeholder partnerships to strengthen communities and create positive change worldwide.
Caroline is a qualified PRINCE2 project management practitioner, she holds a BA (Hons) Dance from the University of Leeds and an MA African Studies, from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
In 2015, Caroline won the “Young Leader of the Year” International and European Associations Network Award.
