A. Hi I’m Leah, I’m 13 years old. I have 3 brothers and I enjoy listening to music and acting.

Q. Who are your role models?

A. My roles models are

  • Michelle Obama, because she’s really cool and she supported Barack throughout his campaign and she likes sweet potatoes.
  • Malorie Blackman, she writes really good stories, and she was the first black female Childrens Laureate
  • Zoella, because she speaks out on what matters, like bullying.

Q. If you were stuck on a desert island what could you not do without?

A. My phone and wifi, I need to stay in touch with my friends and family . I’d miss Instagram and You Tube too much.

Q. What’s your favourite song at the moment?

A. Cool Kids by Echosmith

Q. What’s the best thing about being a teenager?

A. You get more freedom and responsibility than when you were younger, people see you in a different light and think that you’re responsible.

You can finally join sites like Facebook.

Q. What would you like to be when you grow up?

A. I’d like to be a politician or a neurosurgeon, because I like making decisions.

Q. How do you make an impact in the world now as a teen?

A. I am a member of Youth Parliament and I got to speak at the House of Commons Youth Debate recently on whether young people should be able to Vote at 16. I am in favour of it.

Q. What does #rockingurteens mean to you?

A. Rocking Ur Teens means to me to be strong and hold your head up high and to be inspirational to the younger generation. When I am rocking my teens I am having fun and chilling with my friends.
