Ms Martin is the founder of Beyond Our Youth and the Chief Operating Officer of Aleto Foundation. She is also a member of the board of trustees of Generating Genius and The Armitage Foundation and is the first female Vice President of the Reedham Children’s Trust.
A key aspect of Ms Martin’s professional career is as a fundraiser. She has 20+ years experience in winning resources and support through major fundraising initiatives – From grant making trusts, companies, high net worth individuals and events (charity balls and challenge events).
Her significant achievements include coordinating and managing the £¼ million Appeal for the Michael Watson Marathon Challenge in 2003 and at the Motor Neurone Disease Association, she was part of the team that was instrumental in raising £1m from an individual.
Ms Martin is the craftsperson of the highly acclaimed annual Aleto Foundation Leadership Programme which was launched in 2011 and now serves close to 500 BAME young leaders, 100+ senior leaders and UK companies across the country.
Ms Martin recently launched her own personal project – Beyond Our Youth https://www.beyondouryouth.com to help young people to develop a business case for their own philanthropic venture.
Ms Martin is a member of the Worldwide Association of Female Professionals, a member of the Institute of Fundraising and has a Masters with Merit in Charity Marketing and Fundraising.
Ms Martin is the proud parent of twin sons who work in the creative industry.
