We are honoured that Lottee Brown will perform at our Teen Girls Conference on the 8th March, 2016. Here’s her story
Lottee started secondary school in 2012 in St Ives, Cornwall. She started school with a full statement due to her medical needs and was allocated a full time teaching assistant, this was to help her medically, physically and mentally! Sadly her TA decided that she needed to experience time alone, to grow up?!
At the same time she had started singing on the circuit in Cornwall and belting out cover by Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, James Brown and Sir Tom Jones – amongst others!
In 2013 she entered Britian’s Got Talent in Cardiff and got through to the next round, we saw a couple of other girls from the same school, they sadly didn’t get through! This is where the Bullying started. Lottee supported the real Wurzels at a music event in Somerset this delayed us by a few days getting back to Cornwall. When Lottee got back to school the terrible bullying had started, mainly by the girls that had been at BGT – it then spread to others in the school. Lottee was receiving terrible treatment by her peers and one day called me and asked me to help her, I then listened to them shouting at her “Hope you die of throat cancer”!!!
Lottee was removed from school from that day and was home schooled! After a lot of counselling and help with her anxiety problems she has now turned her life around! She has raised money for lots of charities, however, Darren Sims from Daz’s Rock 4 Charity has been her rock! He took Lottee under his wing and has guided and mentored her, in turn instilling more compassion, values and belief – all good values for charity work! To date she has helped Daz, raise well over 30,000.00 + for charity and a large percentage of this has all gone to Variety!
Lottee has done many gigs between Cornwall and Yorkshire. She travels all over the country supporting Daz’s Rock 4 Charity (Weston, Bristol, Leicester and Yorkshire). Lottee has also supported The Wurzels in Langford, Somerset and The Pilning Music Festival in Bristol – this was alongside many amazing musicians.
Lottee has also sung at The Tour De France in Yorkshire, Looe Music Festival, Cornwall, Tuff Enuff – National Endurance, Cornwall and Lafrowda Music Festival, Lands End plus many smaller charity events and Weddings (where she only sings when the charity pot is FULL).
Lottee with help from a friend has put pen to paper and written a song all about the bullying and traumatic birth she had! She is supporting and donating to Variety a charity very close to her heart through Darren Sims @ Daz’s Rock for Charity and also raising awareness for Anti Bullying UK. Lottee’s new single is called “ I’m Getting Stronger “ available on ITunes. Lottee is very passionate about raising money for Variety and she will entertaining us at the Rocking Ur Teens Conference on 8th March 2016.
