Q. Tell us a little about yourself
A. I am 16 years old, I enjoy playing table tennis in my spare time and I am doing GCSE’s in May.
I run a business called Towers Design, which has been going for 4 years. It all started when a family friend wanted a website doing and I got £50 for it, I was only 11, I joined some freelance sites and had 55 customers by the age of 12, that that inspired me to start Towers Design.
Q. Who are your role models?
A. John Allen, Chairman of Federation Small Business – I shadowed him at their National Conference
A. My Grandad, he is the person who is the entrepreneur in my family, he runs a piano business and is a piano teacher.
Q. If you were stuck on a desert island what could you not do without?
A. My mobile phone with a good signal.
Q. What’s your favourite song, film or book at the moment?
A. Uptown Funk, the Fleur East version.
Q. What’s the best thing about being a teenager?
A. The fact that if anything goes wrong with my business I will still have a house to live in, it’s easier to take risks.
Q. What would you like to do when finish school?
A. I will continue running my business Towers Design and launch another business: Social Marley, which I already have £500,000 funding for.
Q. How do you make an impact in the world now as a teen?
A. By inspiring other teenagers to start a business, through workshops at schools.
Q. What does #rockingurteens mean to you?
A. I think it’s about making the most of your teenage years and pushing forward a generation. If you think about it, in the next 20 years, the current teenagers will be the high-powered business people.
